John Stange as Antonio and Caliban John Stange has been voted "Most Likely to Usurp the Throne" by his classmates three years running. That may be due to the influence of Grain of Sand Theatre, who most recently have had him play a certain red-nosed, booze-soaked reindeer in You Can't Get a Decent Margarita at the North Poleand pitchfork-wielding violence aficionado Saul in Raising Cane at the '12 Capital Fringe. You might also have seen him as Stepan in WSC Avant Bard's Les Justes, or clowning around with sundry Shakespeare at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. John is a loyal graduate of the The Theatre Lab School of the Dramatic Arts' Honors Conservatory, 2009. |

Chelsea Mayo as Sebastian Chelsea is excited to rejoin Pallas after playing the Courtesan in last summer's Comedy of Mirrors. Other local credits include Nerissa in The Merchant of Venice (Chesapeake Shakespeare Company), Elaine Harper in Arsenic and Old Lace (Vpstart Crow), and Vesna in the Beltway Drama Series' staged reading of A Patch of Earth. ![]() Julia Sears as Prospero Julia Sears graduated from the University of Washington in 2012. While at the university she served as the Financial Director of the Undergraduate Theater Society, directed Macbeth (2012), Romeo and Juliet (2011), and August: Osage County (2012), as well as participated in over 20 productions in a variety of artistic roles. Some highlights include being a part of The Laramie Project, Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice and playing Cleopatra in Antony and Cleopatra. Julia cofounded Empty Chair Theatre Company, a company for young artists to study and produce Shakespeare in the DC, Metropolitan area and directed Titus Andronicus for the company in 2011. While growing up in Alexandria she trained with The Studio Theater, The Shakespeare Theater Company, Classika Theater, The American Shakespeare Center and The Folger Shakespeare Library. She took part in internships with the Baltimore Shakespeare Festival and The Shakespeare Theater Company and attended the educational Fellowship program at The Folger Shakespeare Library. |

Brendan Kennedy as Ferdinand Brendan Edward Kennedy is an actor, singer, poet, and voice-over narrator from the DC area. He is a recent graduate of the University of Maryland, having studied Vocal Performance under Dominic Cossa. His recent productions include Butterflies Are Free (Ralph), RENT (Mr. Jefferson, Benny U/S, Collins U/S), Gallantry (Dr. Gregg), and Sweeney Todd (Anthony). He narrates poetry and prose selections for the In/Voice audio-blog (invoicereadings.tumblr.com) and has had his poetry published in Stylus Literary Magazine and The Evening Red Press. He is very excited and honored to be a part of Pallas's production. Frankly, he's pretty pumped. |
Sean Silvia is thrilled to return to the Pallas Theater Collective after appearing as Astyanax in The Many Women of Troy at the Capitol Fringe Festival in 2011. He played John/Billy in A Child Shall Lead Them at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland and the Davis Center for the Performing Arts at Georgetown University, where he also appeared in Caroline, or Change (Noah Gellman). Other productions include Young Robin Hood at Round House Theater in Bethesda, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Olney Theatre Center, and Lyle the Crocodile at Imagination Stage in Bethesda, where he has taken classes for the past five years. He is in the seventh grade at Pyle Middle School in Bethesda. |
Rachael Jacobs as Alonso Rachael Jacobs hails from Massachusetts and holds a B.F.A. from New York University in Acting. While at NYU she studied at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, the Stonestreet School of Film and Television and in India. Rachael is thrilled to be making her debut with Pallas Theater. She was last seen in DC with Chesapeake Shakespeare Company in Romeo and Juliet (Juliet) and Pride and Prejudice (Lydia). Past credits include: Lucentio (Taming of the Shrew), D. Ephesus (Comedy of Errors), Bobby (Some Girls). Many thanks to her numerous cheerleaders! |
Ian Blackwell Rogers most recently played the Duke, Panthino, and the Host in The Two Gentlemen of Verona with the Baltimore Shakespeare Factory. Also with BSF, he has played Macbeth in Macbeth, Malvolio in Twelfth Night, Touchstone in As You Like It, and Leontes in The Winter's Tale. In Washington, he played Stanley, Tyrrel, and the Lord Mayor of London in Richard III, and Launce, the Duke, and Antonio in The Two Gentlemen of Verona with Brave Spirits Theatre. He played Bertie Wooster in What Ho, Jeeves!, and Tom Jones in Tom Jones at Lumina Studio Theatre. He played many characters--Athos, Cardinal Richelieu, the Duke of Buckingham--in a speedy four-actor adaptation of The Three Musketeers written and produced by Bette Cassatt. With Scena Theatre, Ian has played Robert in Public Enemy, the Orator and the Old Man's understudy in The Chairs, the Prefect in The Plague, and Otakar, Parasite, and an Ant in The Insect Play, along with lots of readings. He also does 19th-century plays in 19th-century style (footlights!) with New Old Theatre. |
Thony Mena is excited to be working for the first time with Pallas Theatre Collective! He is known to be an easy fun loving kind of guy that takes his job very seriously. Wouldn't you if you got to use your imagination for a living? Thony received a BA in theatre from the University of Maryland. He is proud to call himself a DC area actor and can't wait to see what he will learn on his journey in theatre. |
Kathleen Mason as Stephano Kathleen is a DC native and currently resides in Fairfax, VA. In 2010, she graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor's degree in Theatre. Since then, she has worked with Theater of the First Amendment, Mystery Dinner Playhouse, Active Cultures, and the Hope Operas. She also recently wrapped the feature film "The Long-Term Side Effect" with LIV Creations, LLC, and starred in the DC-based sitcom pilot "H Street." "The Tempest" will be her 2nd production with Pallas Theatre Collective. |
